âMy grandmother, EstĂ©e, launched the first Private Collection fragrance in 1973, with the idea of sharing a special scent she had originally created just for herself. While I was the Creative Director of EstĂ©e Lauder, I worked on Tuberose Gardenia â a scent that joined Private Collection, and was a tribute to my grandmother and two of my favorite flowers, Tuberose and Gardenia.
